BWC will develop their learning pilot new ideas and reach more women across a wider geographical area. The 'W2W PMP' was delivered in Brighton & Hove and BWC will extend the project into East and West Sussex.

The impact of this service for women and girls in the community is the offer of the only holistic women only Counselling Service in the city. Through supporting women, BWC improves health and well being by actively promoting diversity, social inclusion and equal rights. Women have better chances in life as a result of improved access to women specific support. Women's health and well being will be supported by a gender specific, trauma informed Counselling Service which will: Improve mental health increase self confidence to enable women to develop strategies to put control, direction and purpose into their lives within a supported environment. Develop a trusting relationship and effective therapeutic alliance with clients Be a reliable, adaptive and flexible resource Ensure clients feel valued and supported with their needs to enable independent living Reduce risk Women told us: It was great to be in a safe environment and able to say things I wouldn't normally feel able to voice, and to be heard in a completely non-judgemental way. it helped to see that I wasn't the problem. To recognise who I was and who I am. To break free and not be broken. To value myself in my future Outcomes achieved for women in our Evaluation snapshot report last year included: 88% women better able to manage their anxiety. 50% felt counselling has reduced their use of GP's and A&E !00% of women found counselling beneficial.
