THE RIFLES OFFICERS' FUND

The principle activity is the provision of grant support for the relief of need, hardship and distress among Officers and former Officers of the Regiment and the Regiments or the Territorial Army units who are in need of assistance, and their families and dependents. To the extent that income is not required for the principle activity, the Trustees may apply it for the benefit of serving officers.
Analysis by Giving is Great

Regulatory & Governance issues to consider:

  • There are 16 trustees whereas the Charities Commission recommends a maximum of 12
  • The Board is predominantly male

Financial issues to consider:

  • A PartB annual return has not been required and so detailed financial information is not available from the online data
  • Income has been volatile and on several occasions in recent years less than spending
