This project will run weekly football and cricket sessions for 20 young people who are from disadvantaged backgrounds, unaccompanied asylum seekers, have special needs or have been homeless. The project will run over 2 years for evening weekly hour long football sessions and Inspire Suffolk for the cricket provision, all within walking distance of the YMCA.

This new project will work with young people aged nine to 16 in Wisbech who come from an Eastern European background. The project to address issues such as poor school attendance, transition issues, or behaviour, whilst providing one to one support sessions, encouraging access to local provision, and where appropriate referring to specialist services. Parents and carers will be given low level support and will be encouraged to engage in family activities such as cooking sessions and family trips.
