The funding will be used to support carers across Cambridgeshire Peterborough and Norfolk. The project provides a programme of Dementia Hubs for guided and peer support for carer and cared-for a listening ear service and Carer Friend Training and Awareness including supporting employees and services to become “carer friendly”. The organisation provides information emotional and practical support for adult young adult and young carers. They reached just over 11000 carers with support ranging from: accessing information and guidance; help to plan for the unexpected or emotional support through their Listening Ear service; or providing home care to give carers a respite or chance to attend to their own health needs.

It will be particularly aimed at supporting carers aged 60 plus, through a range of methods including developing peer support services.
