The funding will be used to continue support for women and girls who are experiencing domestic abuse in Liverpool. This funding will contribute to core costs and enhance the service to meet increase in demand due to lockdown restrictions easing and to support the new needs of women who have experienced isolation and the reliving of traumatic abuse. Activities will include risk assessments 1-2-1 support counselling workshops safety measures refuge provision welfare benefits/debt advice employment support training for staff and group support sessions. Through this project LDAS will break the cyclical pattern of abuse and poverty and ensure beneficiaries have the tools to improve their situations so that they have the means to improve their futures through education training and employment.

Bridge Project is a new project to support young women in Liverpool to access their own home and give them the tools to make it a happy space where they feel safe and secure. The beneficiaries will be survivors of domestic abuse aged 16-25 who are either; homeless/living in insecure housing, care leavers or young mothers. The project will provide 1:1 and group support to the young women, mentoring them, helping them to access support and developing their skills and independence. The grant will pay for the costs of staff and volunteers and contribute to the project?s overheads.
