A project for 80 disadvantaged girls aged 8-11 from the BME & Orthodox Jewish community facing entrenched difficulties in Hackney and Haringey. 40 girls will participate in by 2 x 12 week termly ‘Fitness & Fun’ groups twice weekly of sports, physical fitness and social connections including teamwork, ball games, races, cycling, aerobics, dancing with kangoo and moon shoes, circus skills including stilts, pogo sticks, unicycle Badminton, Cycling, Gymnastics, Handball, Movement & Dance, Netball, Skipping, Swimming & Diving, Trampolining. The aim is for participants to choose and maintain physical activities in their lives from a young age, improve wellbeing, quality of life. social skills and community cohesion and reduce their social isolation.

S Pinter Youth Project offer recreational and educational activities by offering 3 annual holiday schemes for 500 children and 70 youth volunteers as well as an after school club and providing activities they may not have access to due to disadvantage. We are applying for our AQA accredited youth volunteering program where youth volunteers assist with the planning and implementation of the holiday scheme. The program enables young people to gain work experience and essential qualities for the work-place including leadership, teamwork and interpersonal skills, independence and initiative, responsibility, self-confidence, time-keeping and the motivation to succeed.
