We will build on our relationships of trust with mothers facing intersectional barriers to employment by helping them access and engage with appropriate adult education (AE) to help them achieve their goals. We aim to:
1. Raise awareness of local AE opportunities
• 2 termly newsletters sharing AE opportunities reaching 440 mothers and 120 parent volunteers
• 30 mothers connected directly with local AE providers through our weekly groups
2. Move marginalised mothers closer to engaging with AE
• 30 mothers offered targeted support to identify learning needs, goals and opportunities; emotional support to build confidence and self-esteem; signposting to local support services; and practical support with registration and exploring funding and subsidies
3. Support marginalised mothers to engage with AE
• 20 mothers referred into AE and offered practical support to engage e.g. childcare, laptops
4. Help providers tackle barriers to AE
• Share insight from local families with 5 AE providers
