The project will support older people so that they are better equipped to identify and address local issues and engage in the development of strategies, services and facilities for older people. In Newcastle, North Tyneside, Durham and Sunderland older people will be engaged in community conversations, training and information sessions. They will then be supported to address issues that matter to them. The grant will pay for staff, venue hire and activities. Older people will be involved in new activities and gain an enhanced sense of purpose, whilst the wider community will benefit from the actions and changes the older people deliver.
