The group will develop their services to support 300 young carers aged 5-18 years who are caring for a family member with mental health or substance misuse issues. Most of these carers are unidentified by local authorities and do not receive any form of support. They are at risk of isolation, problems at school and often do not discuss their home life. Bespoke 12-week action plans will reduce isolation, improve their coping skills and give them the opportunity to be open and honest about their feelings.
