Our role is to inspire people through sport and physical activity and to deliver real and lasting benefits in terms of education, health and wellbeing. We achieve this by working in schools, community clubs and the wider community across Hull and beyond. ‘Live Well’ drop in sessions will offer our local Community the opportunity to attend weekly sessions at the stadium, where they can find support in CV writing, job searches, listen to guest speakers in subjects such as mental health and well-being and signpost individuals who require support to our specialist partner agencies.. Whilst enjoying refreshments, people will have the chance to hear stories from local and sporting people. The grant funding will pay for refreshments, staffing costs, room hire, guest speakers and their travel expenses. The home of the Community Trust is Hull College Craven Park Stadium, which is situated in the centre of the Marfleet Ward which is ranked as the 3rd most deprived ward in Hull, with over 34% single person households and 70% of all pensioners in single person households; resulting in increased loneliness exasperated by the current pandemic, which results in mental health and well-being issues which this project will help to address.
