Young people experiencing trauma arising from abuse, domestic violence or neglect often encounter emotional and behavioural problems. This can lead to a withdrawal or exclusion from school, difficulty in relating to others or making and maintaining friendships which can lead to isolation. Dandelion Time in Kent has a strong track record in working with young people and with this grant it will provide therapeutic support using practical farming and natural crafts as tools to help them overcome trauma. Young people will recover and thrive and grow in self-esteem and confidence. They will learn new skills leading to a more hopeful and positive outlook.
