This development of an existing project will aim to reduce unemployment in Barrow by supporting economically inactive people over the age of 50 to move into employment. The project will particularly target older people who are socially isolated and lacking in self-esteem by offering opportunities to make friends, improve skills and boost self-confidence to explore new interests. The project will provide one to one and group support to help beneficiaries overcome barriers to employment.
