1) Build skills and confidence We will deliver sessions that are underpinned by AQA short course qualifications including (but not exclusively): Raising self-esteem of young women positive attributes, cycles of feeling, positive female role models, ambitions for adulthood, friendship qualities, future lifestyle choices, body image and self-esteem. Self-esteem, confidence and assertiveness self-image and body image refection through media, peers and partners, identifying ways to increase self-esteem and confidence, family life, relationships, positive self-image. Managing change coping, transition, strategies to manage change, healthy lifestyles. Building resilience in own life vulnerabilities, positive influences, aspirations Relationships and staying safe emotional aspects of relationships (loving and abusive), decisions affecting personal safety, sexual exploitation. Participants feedback / worker observations will identify that young women have the skills necessary to manage change / transition, have increased resilience and self-confidence and skills required to remain safe. 2) Improve health and well-being We will deliver sessions that include the following key areas of focus (utilising NHS framework of 5 ways to well-being in session planning); Understanding the 5 ways to well-being Connecting with others to be happier, exploring reasons for social isolation Being active, how exercise can help well-being Mindfulness and reducing stress meditation and yoga Learning outside of the classroom - ways to keep learning for positive well-being Take notice Emotional well-being managing emotional experiences, bullying (physical and emotional), positive friendships, physical and mental illness. Participants feedback / worker observations will identify that they have skills necessary to manage and improve emotional well-being. 3) Build social networks for women and girls By delivering group sessions we will; Explore the positive effects of social inclusion Friendships formation and maintenance Encourage group work practices throughout all activities
