CALLINGTON MEMORY CAFE

The Callington Memory Cafe exists to provide a welcoming venue for people living with dementia and their carers. We achieve this by meeting every two weeks for 2-3 hours in a suitable location presently the Callington Methodist Church Hall. We provide light refreshments. At every meeting we arrange an activity such from flower arranging to musical entertainers.
Analysis by Giving is Great

Positives:

  • This charity has been very successful in attracting volunteers relative to its size
  • A significant proportion of recent income was derived from major grant makers including the Government
  • The Board appears to be well diversified in terms of gender

Regulatory & Governance issues to consider:

  • The Board composition appears to be rather static

Financial issues to consider:

  • A PartB annual return has not been required and so detailed financial information is not available from the online data
  • There has been a change of accounting period recently, so trends may be hard to determine
