In support of sight loss organisations based and working in London. This funding supports the sight loss sector’s continued adaptation and recovery during the protracted pandemic and the current economic crisis. Open primarily to charities whose main purpose is in support of those living with or at risk of sight loss. For the continuation of a project, this project must be in support of those living with or at risk of sight loss. Applications for grants of up to £10,000 (for up to 12-24 months) to meet either operational costs, or for any other project activities supporting those living with or at risk of sight loss. Priority will be given to organisations which have been in receipt of a Vision Fund grant within the last three years.

The group is using funding to support provision for people who are blind and partially sighted across West London. The project will provide information advice training and support to people who are blind and partially sighted. This support involves a home visiting provision where staff and volunteers provide practical help with daily tasks and friendship. The funding will also be used to organise regular social activities and day trips for users and volunteers to build social networks helping them to share their experiences and challenges with other people in a similar situation. Alongside this the organisation provide training in IT provide accessible technology employment support and advice as well as signposting and lessons on how to read braille.
