The funding will support a new support service in the deprived areas of rural Horsham and for the project's existing service in Crawley. Funding is for a full-time Senior Family Support Practitioner covering Horsham a full-time Family Support Practitioner covering Crawley and 8 hours per week of play-work all of which will provide intensive support to 180 marginalised families over 3 years. CDA for FSW aims to strengthen families and communities to build skills and resilience and to prevent family breakdown. Their services improve outcomes for children and their parents who are struggling with multiple and complex needs. Their team of 15 Family Support Practitioners (FSP’s) provide a wraparound programme of support encompassing holistic practical and emotional help through a combination of home-visits support groups and signposting.
