The project aims to help reduce the isolation of older people improve confidence health and wellbeing which has been impacted by the pandemic and cost-of-living crisis.

This project will aim to support those who are vulnerable to isolation and loneliness, as well as poor physical and mental health. The project aims to increase older people's confidence and re-establish face to face physical activity. There will be a varied programme of activity, with weekly dance, movement and exercise sessions in 4 different sheltered housing schemes and cultural venues in Gateshead, South Shields and Sunderland. Sessions will include Chi Gong, Aerial, contemporary dance and yoga. Sessions will be adaptable, catering to the needs of participants on a weekly basis, with groups sizes between 6 and 16 people.
