The funding will be used to deliver arts and music activities bringing together various groups across ages abilities and ethnic backgrounds across various intersecting identities and needs within the local community. The organisation will provide the local community with shared access to instruments musical instruments DJ turntables and music production software art supplies and tutoring. The project aims to teach participants a lifelong skill whilst providing them with the option to share their new talents via an end of program exhibition. It will focus on addressing a ‘Poverty of Opportunity’ which is preventing people in financial hardship from accessing the Arts and developing their inner creativity and performance skills. This will give access to the wider community who experience restrictive costs for equipment and tutoring. It will also create a community lending facility for musical instruments.
