An annual celebration event will share experiences and showcase their work. The grant £271,502, over three years, will fund salaries, project running costs and equipment.

Suggestions have included healthy eating and cooking, ....more We will run 2 peer support groups for women experiencing complex mental health issues and illnesses that will support their wellbeing. Suggestions have included healthy eating and cooking, aromatherapy, relaxation techniques. We want to support the groups to develop an exciting programme of activities that will weave arts and health together as we believe this will have the greatest impact on participants wellbeing and become tools they can use outside of the sessions to enhance their quality of life.- We will employ a 1-day/week Wellbeing Coach who will help both groups to programme a range of speakers, presenters and wellbeing professionals to continue their journey to wellbeing;- We will offer the women in both core groups a programme of peer-support mentor training to help to support other women in the communities in Torfaen and Newport;- We will host 4 Forum Theatre events at the Riverfront theatre in Newport to bring the 2 groups together with any other women they are supporting to reflect on and explore their common challenges using Forum Theatre, which has been proven to effect lasting change in peoples lives;- We will organise 2 large-scale community events that support women in the community who have experienced mental illness or are experiencing it now in order to reduce the stigma and to make more connections between women with a shared experience. These will feature a range of talks, workshops, films and other arts (creative writing, music, singing, visual arts exhibition, plays).
