BROXTOWE COMMUNITY PROJECTS

Broxtowe Community Projects operate projects that relieve poverty in the Broxtowe area of Nottingham. This is primarily via a self referral food, nappy & toiletries bank that local people can access and we also operate social meals, pay as you feel meals, and warm banks.

Each week there is a different theme centred around improving educational and employment outcomes. Participants are involved in cooking the meals and have the opportunity to complete a qualification in food hygiene. The aim of the programme is to reduce the participants' social exclusion and build their confidence and skills.

TO RELIEVE PEOPLE IN THE BOROUGH OF BROXTOWE AND THOSE IN THE NEIGHBOURING LENTON ABBEY AREA WHO ARE IN NEED, BY REASON OF THEIR AGE, ILL-HEALTH, DISABILITY, FINANCIAL HARDSHIP OR SOCIAL CIRCUMSTANCES IN SUCH WAYS AS THE TRUSTEES SHALL THINK FIT, WITH PARTICULAR FOCUS IN THE IMMEDIATE FUTURE ON PROVIDING ASSISTANCE TO THOSE AFFECTED BY CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19), THROUGH THE PROVISION OF EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMES, ADVICE, GUIDANCE AND ASSISTANCE.
