The grant will support increased hours of the co-ordinator who will be responsible for recruiting and developing volunteers and walk leaders, engaging with local healthcare practitioners and promotion of the walks.

Objectives

THE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS TO PRESERVE AND PROTECT THE GOOD MENTAL HEALTH OF RESIDENTS OF SURREY IN PARTICULAR BY THE PROVISION OF VOLUNTEER-LED SERVICES FOCUSED ON IMPROVING EVERYDAY MENTAL HEALTH AND AVOIDING DETERIORATION IN MENTAL HEALTH SUCH AS BEFRIENDING PROGRAMMES, SUPPORT GROUPS, ASSISTANCE WITH EVERYDAY TASKS AND SIGNPOSTING TO EXISTING RESOURCES.
