The project is using funding to continue supporting people in the Kilburn area over the next three years through a range of community projects. Programmes include Community Time Camden a time interests and skills exchange an older men’s activities and adventures group a home befriending scheme their Neighbours 2 Friends project which brings people of later years together with younger residents through shared activities as well as general health and well-being self-help information services social groups weekly; and volunteer activities and opportunities. The project ensures people feel less isolated and lonely are more actively involved in their communities and improve their social connections.

Will support loss of income and additional costs such as new telephones etc. Focussing on supporting elderly and isolated groups first and then supporting the most vulnerable families over time.

This project will enable 20 local elderly people affected by physical disabilities and impairments to participate in the centre's daily community activities wellbeing programme.

This project will run a befriending service, where young people visit older people in their homes and offer assistance with IT issues, such as accessing the internet or using smartphones. This will encourage people to improve their IT skills and develop positive relationships with other local residents.

This two-year project was the continuation and development of an established Saturday Café which used food surplus to provide affordable, healthy and delicious meals to local people as an alternative to high street chains. Activities including arts and crafts and Tech Buddies IT support sessions for over-65s were run in tandem with the café. The funding supported the running of the café sessions and the establishment of a committee of volunteers to steer developments. All participants were able to shape the project via this committee and other feedback mechanisms. The cafe aimed to address financial disadvantage and social isolation, increase employment prospects and build social connections, amongst both older people and families. Participants came from Kilburn, West Hampstead and the surrounding area.

The project aims to engage with vulnerable older people and create a time and skills exchange exclusively for people over 50 within the borough of Camden. By sharing their time and skills with each other, a self-sustaining community network will be established, enabling older people to receive support and cope better, particularly in times of increased need and vulnerability. Volunteers will provide services to older people who are housebound.
