WOMEN'S FUND FOR SCOTLAND

Who they support

WFS seeks to fund organisations where women are supported to – - build confidence and awareness in their current skills. - learn new skills and develop those they have currently. - plan to return to the workplace and / or consider applying for work. We aim to promote systemic change in Scotland to empower women, and to help overcome the multiple disadvantages and discriminatory practices that females experience throughout their lives. Our vision is of a Scotland in which women participate equally at all levels of society, free from any barriers to full and equal engagement in political, institutional, economic, and cultural life, including freedom from the fear of sex-based violence. Priority will be given to applications which most strongly contribute to that aim.

Grant criteria

The Women’s Fund for Scotland (WFS) makes grants to projects across Scotland that support women’s development, self-sufficiency and social and economic equality. The Fund distributes grants to community groups and local charities run by or for women.
