04/11/2023	£68,442	LONDON BOROUGH OF ENFIELD	A Pan-London approach in the development of parent/carer, peer support networks with the aim of training and upskilling parent/carers. Evidence shows that parent/carer support is crucial in supporting children and young people at risk of extra-familial harm, and mitigating risk factors for involvement with violent crime. A key pillar of the Violence Reduction Unit Strategy is therefore to support and enable parents and carers to nurture and protect children and young people. Boroughs across London have developed their individual and innovative programmes of delivery which the VRU plans to share through Good Practice Events.

The programme will be expanded into four additional custody suites during 2022/23.

30/05/2023	£1,054,546	LONDON BOROUGHS	The VRU is supporting 22 boroughs that are not My Ends areas, through funding for 12 months delivery. This funding is to help support progress of additional partnership work and could include areas such as community engagement, supporting outreach through organisations coming together, providing training and development of champions as well as supporting strong and sustainable local networks of community members so that they are well placed to respond to local emerging needs and help advance and test new initiatives to tackle serious youth violence.
